Astrology of An Inside-The-Park, Walk-Off Homerun Posted on July 14, 2025July 14, 2025 By cesarlove The iconic moment of the SF Giants 2025 season may prove to be Patrick Bailey’s inside-the-park, walk-off homerun, which occurred on transits just waiting for Bailey or another Giants catcher to become a hero. Bailey’s blast, which careened off the right center field wall of Oracle Park, occurred at 9:27 PDT of July 8, 2025. At that moment, Bailey’s transits were as stunning as the transits to the birthchart of the Giants. Patrick Bailey Walk-Off Homerun July 8, 2025 9:27 pm PDT SF, Ca. When Bailey hit the homerun at 9:27 pm in San Francisco, the Ascendant was positioned at 3 degrees 43 minutes Aquarius and conjunct to Pluto in transit at 2 degrees, 57 minutes of Aquarius. Both the Ascendant and Pluto were tightly conjunct to Bailey’s Neptune of 4 degrees, 14 minutes Aquarius. Bailey is well-positioned to respond to Pluto energy. His natal chart includes Pluto conjunct his Moon in Sag and opposite his Sun in Gemini. Patrick Bailey May 29, 1999 Greensboro, N.C. Noon Chart But the main planetary energy for Bailey’s homerun was his personal Neptune, the planet that brings super-human heroic feats such as ninth inning home runs that win games. This walk-off homerun was particularly stunning because inside-the-park homeruns are very rarely hit by catchers, the position known for slow runners. Bailey, true to his position, was not fast around the bases. Bailey did undergo a very challenging aspect that evening as Mars at 12 Virgo was square to his Mercury of 12 Gemini. Usually, squares from Mars to one’s Mercury upset one’s ability to process information and one’s sense perceptions, both needed for athletes. Mercury in transit at 12 Leo, however, was trine to Bailey’s natal Mercury, which may have served as a bolster against Mars disruptions. Overall, the aspects from Mars and Mercury made Bailey hyper-aware that evening. He senses became very focused rather than disrupted. San Francisco Giants Dec 7, 1882 10:36 am San Francisco, Ca The birthchart of the San Francisco Giants also underwent striking transits at the moment of the Bailey’s homerun. The Giants’ Moon, positioned at 12 degrees Scorpio, received a sextile transit from Mars at 12 Virgo and a square from Mercury at 12 Leo. The Moon rules catchers. Multiple planets in aspect to a team’s natal Moon provide an an opportunity for their catcher to have a significant game. In addition, the Giants, with a Scorpio Moon and Pluto in the Fourth House, are very comfortable with Pluto energy and quite capable of making very good use of an aspect such as Pluto conjunct the Ascendant. The Moon in transit at 27 degrees Sagittarius was opposite the Giants’ Jupiter in Gemini and square to their Uranus in Virgo. This square within the Giants’ birthchart is a source of their heritage and strength as a homerun hitting team. Uranus is the planet of homeruns and Jupiter is the planet of the batter. As the Moon rules catchers, a precise aspect from the Moon to this square further set the stage for Bailey’s homerun. Most unusual, at the time of Bailey’s homerun, the Ascendant-Descendant and MC-IC axes were aligned almost exact to the axes of the birthchart of the Giants. There was a difference of little more than one degree for the Ascendant-Descendant axis and less that a degree for the MC-IC axis. Perhaps such an iconic moment for a franchise occurs under such an alignment because then a team’s identity becomes restamped or reinforced as the axes are aligned in their birthtime settings. Perhaps this is the key alignment to moments that live in the lore of a franchise. Articles #baseballastrology#patrickbailey#patrickbaileyastrology#sfgiantsastrology#sportsastrology
