Last Out in Oakland under Mars and Pluto

The final out at the Oakland Coliseum occurred at 3:06 pm PDT on Sept. 26, 2024 as Mars was conjunct the Athletics’ Moon in Cancer and the Moon in Cancer was opposite to Pluto in Capricorn, both in conjunctions in the A’s MC and IC axis.

The Moon and the IC in the birthchart of a team rule stadiums, fans, and home cities. In earlier systems of astrology, Mars is considered a malefic and the planet of death. The Mars transit for this last out does appear to represent an end to the Athletics’ home in Oakland. In addition, the Moon in Cancer was in an exact opposition to Pluto during the last out. Pluto brings death and an uprooting of established orders. Pluto’s conjunction to the A’s IC of 27 Capricorn during the last several years has been the major transit regarding the A’s move.

But not all hope is lost that the A’s seasons in Oakland are forever over. The hopeful aspect within the chart of the last out is the Descendant conjunct the Part of Fortune of 14 Cancer for the Oakland chart. The Part of Fortune brings a reversal of direction. In a football game, aspects involving the Part of Fortune bring turnovers that change to momentum of a game.
