Transits to Watch in 2024 World Series

Posted on October 25, 2024August 6, 2025 By cesarlove

A World Series is played with a potent dose of Scorpio energy as the Sun enters the dark sign in late October. It has been this way since the expansion of the post-season schedule in recent decades. In earlier eras, the World Series was played in early October with the Sun in Libra. All games of the 2024 World Series will be played with the Sun in Scorpio. Games 1 through 6 will have Mercury in Scorpio. And Games 6 and 7 will have the Moon in Scorpio.

Scorpio is a highly pressurized water sign, which is keeping with the tense, high-pressure, emotional atmosphere of a World Series. But the Scorpionic flavor of this World Series will be stronger than usual because of the additional aspect of Mars opposite to Pluto. Indeed, Games 6 and 7 will include exact oppositions from Mars to Pluto.

As the planet Pluto and the sign of Scorpio rule Third Basemen, expect third basemen to play key roles in this World Series. Expect Yankees Third Basemen Jazz Chisholm Jr and Osvaldo Cabrera and Dodgers Third Basemen Max Muncy and Kike Hernandez to play elevated roles in this Series.

The Yankees have a history of improving their play in the post-season and winning tight tense games. Their birthchart, with the Sun in Scorpio, reflects their ability to thrive in pressure packed games. Their First House Saturn also enhanses their ability to come from behind and succeed in extra-innings and late-season games. The energy of Saturn is most manifest at the end of a season.

Los Angeles Dodgers April 1, 1874 10:30 am Los Angeles

The Dodgers’ Neptune in Aries is being squared by the opposition of Pluto and Mars. (See my recent post on the death of Fernando Valenzuela.) The Dodgers will be feeling especially Neptunian and inspired from the recent death of an inspirational figure from their history. On the field, the planet Neptune is embodied in the First Baseman. Freddie Freeman is scheduled to return to the Dodgers’ lineup and play First, but the health of his ankle may be a concern. If he returns healthy and holds his own, this will add another Neptunian story line for Los Angeles.

Saturn in Neptune’s sign of Pisces may also contribute to tales of inspiration in the 2024 World Series.
