Transits to Watch in A’s Astros Series

The Division Series between the Oakland Athletics and the Houston Astros will be played under transits that are favorable to both teams, including a Mercury and Venus returns for the A’s.

Teams that survive into the post-season are operating under positive transits from outer planets. The most powerful outer-planet transit for the Division Series round are Mars retrograde in Aries in square to Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn; and Mercury in Scorpio opposite to Uranus in Taurus.

Transits from personal planet will assist the A’s and they will undergo both Mercury and Venus returns during this series. Indeed, Games 3, 4 and 5 are scheduled for days that the A’s Mercury of 10 degree, 34 minutes Scorpio will undergo a conjunction from transitting Mercury within 1 degreee. Mercury rules pitching, and the A’s Mercury has been experiencing a favorable opposition from Uranus at 10 degrees Taurus that has enhanced the A’s pitching this year. Expect the A’s to continue to have outstanding pitching through this series.

The A’s will experience a Venus return during Games 3 and 4 as their natal Venus of 6 degrees 41 minutes Virgo undergoes a conjunction from transitting Venus within 1 degree of orb. Venus is a key planet for the A’s and it is the despositor of their Sun in Libra. Expect outstanding play from center fielder Ramon Laureano and second basemen Tommy La Stella, as Venus rules these positions.

The A’s are currently experiencing square of Mars to Saturn and Pluto as a conjunction of Mars to their Descendant of 23 Aries. As the sign of Aries rules the shortstop, Saturn’s pressure will be on shortstop Marcus Semien to provide dependable defence and clutch hitting.

The Astros are absorbing the square of Mars and Saturn from a very challenging place. Their Sun of 24 Libra is receving Mars as an opposition and Saturn and Pluto as a square. Other teams would wilt under such a harsh aspect, but the Astros have proven themselves extremely resilient this year. They have fended off the negative energy thrown at them in the wake of their cheating scandal. The Astros also have a recent history of channeling Saturn energy towards championships. Expect the Astros to put up a very strong fight as they channel Saturn, Mars and Pluto.

In Game 1 of this series, the Astros will receive a conjunction to their Neptune of 8 degrees Scorpio from transitting Mercury. Expect stepped up play from first basemen Yuri Gurriel. Also expect their pitching staff to hold its own as Neptune channels Mercury, the pitcher’s planet.

The A’s will play Game 1 under a trine from the Moon in Taurus to their MC. Expect strong play from their catchers, ruled by the Moon.

In Game 2, the Astros will continue to have Mercury conjunct their Neptune. Expect strong play from Yuri Gurriel and the Astros pitchers. Also, the Moon at 8 degrees Gemini will be square their Pluto and quincunx their Neptune. This can be a wild card for the Astros. The Moon will also oppose the A’s Jupiter and Uranus conjunction in Sagitarrius, which correspond to their hitters. This could disrupt the A’s offense, which has been eratic this season.

Game 3 give the A’s the first of three games to be played under a Mercury return. It will also be played under a Venus return. In addition, the Moon in Gemini is trine the the A’s Sun in Libra. These transits greatly favor the A’s. The Moon at 19 degrees Gemini will form a square to the Astros Moon in Virgo, which may lead to an emotional day for the Astros.

Game 4 is also played under Mercury and Venus returns for the A’s. Venus in conjunct the Astros’ Pluto. This can help the play of their third baseman Alex Bregman as Pluto rules third baseman. It will also help second baseman Jose Altuve and center fielder George Springer, both ruled by Venus.

Mars is now square to Pluto within 1 degree of orb. Expect to feel the pressurized energy of this transit.

Game 5 continues the Mercury return for the Athletics. In addition, the Moon at 14 Cancer will be conjunct the A’s Part of Fortune. If the series goes to a Game 5, this aspect should help the Athletics. Venus at 8 degrees Virgo will square the A’s Jupiter and Uranus, which may prove unfavorable for the A’s bats. Also, if the A’s become over-confident, they could get lazy and fail to take care of business under an indulgent Venus transit.
